Super Eagles striker Akor Adams has arrived in Italy ahead of completing his transfer from Sevilla to newly promoted Serie A side Venezia, Trybal News reports.

The 26-year-old Nigerian international landed in Venice and is expected to undergo his medical before signing a long-term contract with the Italian club, bringing an end to weeks of negotiations between both sides.

Venezia have agreed a deal worth €16 million to secure the services of the former Montpellier forward, making him one of the club’s most significant acquisitions as they prepare for the 2026/27 Serie A season.

Adams joined Sevilla from Montpellier in January 2025 and now returns to Italian football, where Venezia see him as a key addition to strengthen their attacking options following their promotion to the top flight.

The move also follows Venezia’s decision to loan striker Daniel Fila to Serie B side Avellino, creating space within the squad for the arrival of the Nigerian forward.

On the international stage, Adams has earned 15 caps for the Super Eagles, scoring six goals and providing two assists. His pace, physical presence and eye for goal are expected to add a new dimension to Venezia’s attack as the club looks to establish itself in Serie A.

Subject to successfully completing his medical, an official announcement from Venezia is expected in the coming days.
