With two wins and two draws in their last four away fixtures, Sporting Lagos will be looking to continue their rich vein of form as they visit Katsina United in their match day 11 fixture in the Nigerian Premier Football League.
The tech boys last involvement in the league came on match day 9, with a hard fought victory over hosts, Plateau United, in Jos. The Lagosians went ahead early in the 10th minute of play, courtesy an Aliyu Baba goal, before falling behind to a brace from Victor Dawa in the 35th and 5th minute of first half injury time.
Hosts Katsina United sit 12th in the NPFL standings with 13 points, just two points behind seventh-placed Sporting Lagos. A victory for the Changi Boys would allow them to leapfrog the Tech Boys and snap the visitors’ impressive away streak. Sporting Lagos unbeaten run on the road began with a 3-0 win over local rivals Inter Lagos, followed by a 3-2 triumph against league giants Enyimba, a draw with Kano Pillars, and a recent victory over Plateau United.
