Former Flying Eagles winger Sani Suleman has completed a move to Saudi Pro League side Al-Qadsiah, bringing an abrupt end to his brief spell with Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig, Trybal News reports.

The 20-year-old Nigerian joins Al-Qadsiah after spending just eight months with Leipzig, having arrived from Slovakian club AS Trenčín in January 2026.

Despite arriving in Germany as one of Nigeria’s promising young attacking talents, Suleman was unable to make a competitive appearance for the Bundesliga club. Fitness problems, coupled with competition for places, limited his involvement during his time in Germany.

Suleman’s European journey began in 2024 when he moved to AS Trenčín following an impressive breakthrough campaign with Akwa United. He went on to establish himself in Slovakia, scoring five league goals in 34 appearances.

His performances earned him a move to Leipzig in January, with the German club reportedly paying around €5 million for his services and handing him a contract running until 2031.

The winger now gets a fresh opportunity in Saudi Arabia, with Al-Qadsiah securing his permanent transfer from Leipzig in a deal reported to be worth around €9–10 million including bonuses.

Suleman was also part of Nigeria’s Flying Eagles squad at the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup, further underlining his status as one of the country’s emerging attacking talents.

The move to Al-Qadsiah represents a new chapter for the Nigerian, who will now look to revive his momentum and establish himself in senior football after an injury-hit spell in Germany.
