Super Eagles midfielder Raphael Onyedika is set to join Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt after an agreement was reached with Belgian champions Club Brugge, Trybal News reports.
The Nigerian international is expected to complete the move after both clubs agreed on a €10 million transfer fee, with only the remaining formalities to be concluded before the deal is officially announced.
Onyedika was notably left out of Club Brugge’s squad for Friday night’s Belgian Super Cup clash against Union Saint-Gilloise, where the Belgian champions suffered a penalty shootout defeat after a 1-1 draw. His omission comes with the transfer entering its final stages and is understood to be a precaution ahead of his expected departure.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the agreement with his trademark “Here we go”, revealing that Onyedika chose Eintracht Frankfurt despite late bids from clubs in Saudi Arabia.
The 25-year-old joined Club Brugge from Danish side FC Midtjylland in 2022 and established himself as one of the Belgian club’s most influential midfielders, featuring prominently in both domestic and European competitions.
An official announcement is expected once the remaining formalities are completed, with Onyedika set to become the latest Nigerian international to feature in the Bundesliga.
