Nigerian striker Victor Olatunji has completed a season-long loan move to Belgian Pro League side SK Beveren from Major League Soccer club Real Salt Lake, Trybal News reports.
The 27-year-old forward, who stands at 1.93m, arrives at Beveren with extensive experience across European football, having played in Slovakia, Austria, Cyprus and the Czech Republic.
Olatunji began his professional career with FK Inter Bratislava in Slovakia before spells with clubs including Slovan Liberec and Sparta Prague. His performances in the Czech Republic earned him opportunities in European competition, including appearances in both the UEFA Champions League and Europa League.
He subsequently moved to Real Salt Lake in January 2025 after leaving Sparta Prague.
Across 220 professional appearances, Olatunji has scored 47 goals, bringing a proven goalscoring record and considerable experience to Beveren’s attack.
The Belgian club believes his combination of physical strength, pace and movement will add a different dimension to its forward line.
SK Beveren General Manager Sports Bob Peeters highlighted Olatunji’s ability to combine his 1.93m frame with explosive pace and an aggressive approach to attacking space.
Victor brings a number of qualities we wanted to add to our attack. At 1m93, he is physically strong, but he pairs that presence primarily with speed and explosiveness.”
Peeters also praised the Nigerian’s work rate and pressing ability, describing him as a forward capable of contributing both with and without the ball.
Olatunji’s loan will run until the end of the 2026/27 season, giving him the opportunity to return to European football and make an impact in Belgium.
His arrival completes Beveren’s squad ahead of the new campaign, with the Nigerian centre-forward now tasked with providing goals, pace and attacking power as the club targets its objectives for the season.
