Italian Serie A side Venezia have reached an agreement to sign Super Eagles forward Akor Adams from Spanish club Sevilla in a deal worth €16 million, Trybal News reports.
The newly-promoted side have already secured the Nigerian striker’s approval, with only the remaining formalities expected to be completed before the transfer is officially concluded. Venezia see Adams as a central figure in their project as they prepare for their return to Italy’s top flight.
Adams joined Sevilla from French outfit Montpellier during the January 2025 transfer window in a deal valued at €5.5 million and quickly established himself as one of the club’s most important attacking players after settling into life in Spain.
The 26-year-old enjoyed an impressive campaign, scoring 10 La Liga goals and playing a pivotal role in Sevilla’s successful fight against relegation. His two match-winning goals in the closing weeks of the season proved decisive in securing the club’s survival in the Spanish top division.
Venezia’s willingness to meet Sevilla’s valuation reflects the growing reputation of the Nigerian international, whose performances in Spain also attracted interest from clubs in the Premier League and Ligue 1.
Once completed, the move will mark another significant chapter in Adams’ European journey, with the striker set to add Italy to a career that has already taken him through Norway, France and Spain.
