Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt are stepping up efforts to complete the signing of Super Eagles midfielder Raphael Onyedika from Belgian champions Club Brugge, Trybal News reports.
The German club have made significant progress in negotiations with Brugge and are now pushing to reach a full agreement for the 25-year-old, who has emerged as one of their top midfield targets this summer.
However, Frankfurt face competition from Saudi Pro League club Al Ittihad, who have also submitted an official offer to Club Brugge in a bid to hijack the move.
With just one year left on his current contract, Club Brugge are reportedly willing to listen to offers and value the Nigerian international at around €10 million. The Belgian side are keen to avoid losing one of their key players on a free transfer next summer.
Onyedika is believed to have already agreed personal terms on a long-term contract with Frankfurt, with discussions between both clubs now focused on reaching a final agreement.
The former FC Midtjylland midfielder enjoyed another outstanding campaign in Belgium during the 2025/26 season, making 48 appearances across all competitions, scoring three goals and registering two assists. His consistent displays in both the Belgian Pro League and European competitions have further cemented his reputation as one of Nigeria’s leading midfielders.
A move to Frankfurt would mark another significant step in Onyedika’s career, with the Bundesliga club viewing his ball-winning ability, tactical discipline and Champions League experience as qualities that will strengthen their squad ahead of the new season.
If the deal is completed, Onyedika will become the latest Super Eagles player to feature in the Bundesliga, joining the growing list of Nigerians making their mark in one of Europe’s top leagues.
