Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana was reportedly taken to hospital after a serious road accident in Turkey on Thursday night, Trybal News reports.
The Cameroon international is spending the season on loan in the Turkish Super Lig. He underwent medical checks after a high speed collision involving three vehicles near Trabzon.
The incident happened just hours after Andre Onana helped his temporary club secure a clean sheet and beat Scottish side Hearts in the Conference League. However, the celebrations soon turned to concern following reports of the crash.

Andre Onana involved in three car collision near Trabzon
According to local reports, the accident happened on the Yomra road near the Black Sea resort of Trabzon. Emergency services responded to the scene after the collision.
As reported by the Daily Star, the crash involved three vehicles. Witnesses and local media reports suggest another car hit the rear of Onana’s vehicle at high speed. The impact then pushed his car into the vehicle in front, leaving the goalkeeper caught in the middle of the collision.
Images and videos shared on social media showed the extent of the damage. Onana’s car appeared to have suffered significant damage to its front wing. Meanwhile, the vehicle that reportedly struck him from behind had a badly crushed front end.
Trabzonspor president Ertugrul Dogan moved to reassure supporters after news of the accident emerged. Speaking to local media, he confirmed the incident and offered an update on the goalkeeper’s condition.
Dogan stated: “Andre Onana was involved in a road traffic accident earlier this evening. There are no problems with him, and we wish him a speedy recovery.”
The 30 year old went to a local hospital for medical checks as a precaution. Doctors were expected to assess him for possible internal injuries and signs of concussion following the high speed impact.
However, the club has yet to issue a further medical update. There is also no confirmed timeline for when Onana could return to training.
