Belgian side KAA Gent have confirmed the signing of Nigerian forward Daniel Wisdom from Serbian club FK Spartak Subotica on a loan deal that includes an option to make the transfer permanent, Trybal News reports.

The 2007-born attacker joins Jong KAA Gent as the Belgian club continues to invest in emerging talent with the potential to progress through its development pathway and challenge for senior opportunities in the future.

Wisdom arrives in Belgium following an impressive campaign with Spartak Subotica’s reserve side in the Serbian Omladinska Liga, where he registered 10 goals in 15 appearances. His performances earned him promotion to the club’s first team, making three senior appearances before securing his move to Belgium.

Described by KAA Gent as a quick and technically gifted winger, the Nigerian is known for his ability to attack defenders in one-versus-one situations, combining pace, dribbling ability and a natural eye for goal.

The move marks another significant step in the career of the young forward, who began his football journey at D Shack Football Academy in Nigeria before making the transition to European football with Spartak Subotica.

With an option to buy included in the agreement, the coming season could prove pivotal for both player and club as Wisdom looks to continue his development in one of Europe’s respected youth development environments.

For Nigerian football, the transfer represents yet another example of the growing pathway from local academies to European clubs, with Daniel Wisdom becoming the latest young talent to earn an opportunity on the Belgian stage.
