New Kano Pillars Technical Adviser Daniel Ogunmodede, popularly known as IJABALL, has outlined his ambitious plans for the club, declaring that winning every competition remains the ultimate objective of the new project.
Speaking during his official unveiling at the Kano Pillars Secretariat on Saturday, the Super Eagles assistant coach shared his vision for the four time Nigeria Premier Football League champions. Trybal News exclusively reports that Ogunmodede expressed confidence in the project and promised to build a team capable of competing at the highest level.

Addressing journalists, Ogunmodede made his intentions clear from the outset.
“We are not just going to play football, we want to win. No doubt about it. We can’t win all games, but we will win every game as it comes.”
The former Remo Stars coach also revealed plans to establish a world class youth development system that will produce future stars for Kano Pillars and Nigerian football.
“Secondly, the goal is to organize and structure a world-standard academy, ranging from Under-12 to Under-19. Thereby, we will create and maintain a solid identity that will be recognizable in the country and around the world.”
Daniel Ogunmodede stressed that success on the pitch remains the foundation of the project. He also promised to build an open and collaborative environment where ideas that benefit the club would always be welcomed.
“And lastly, like I said — to win. Winning is not negotiable in this project. We want to win. I can promise you we are going to contest the Federation Cup, the league, the CAF Confederation Cup, and in the Champions League, we are going to compete in all competitions. In doing this, it’s important that our communication skills are strong”
“No one is an island of knowledge. I’m not someone who is unapproachable. I love to be advised. I love to be talked to. I hate autocracy. I love deliberations. If you have an idea that can help Kano Pillars, and if you can’t talk to the Chairman, you can talk to me.”
Kano Pillars have entrusted Ogunmodede with the responsibility of restoring the club to the summit of Nigerian football after several difficult seasons. The Sai Masu Gida last won the Nigeria Premier Football League title in 2014, having previously lifted the trophy in the 2007/08, 2012, 2013 and 2014 seasons.
The appointment marks the beginning of a new era for the Kano based club. With Ogunmodede’s proven record of building competitive teams and delivering success, the management hopes he can guide the former champions back into contention for domestic honours and establish a strong foundation for sustained success.
