Fresh from an impressive run in Antalya, Turkey, where they defeated FIFA World Cup-bound Iran and held Jordan to a draw, Nigeria’s Super Eagles are gearing up for a busy and exciting summer schedule.
The three-time African champions are set to take on Poland and World Cup-bound Portugal during the June FIFA international window.
According to the Nigeria Football Federation’s FIFA Match Agent, Jairo Pachon of Eurodata Sport, the Super Eagles will face Poland on June 3 at the PGE Narodowy Stadium in Warsaw. They will then travel to Portugal for a second friendly on June 10, with the venue yet to be confirmed.
The clash against Portugal, also known as the Seleção das Quinas, will serve as the host nation’s final preparation match before departing for the FIFA World Cup finals, which will be jointly hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Meanwhile, Nigeria will also defend their title at the Unity Cup Tournament in London, scheduled to take place from May 26 to May 30.
