Ranchers Bees claimed their first Nigeria Premier Football League victory of the season in style on Sunday, defeating Abia Warriors 4-0 in their matchday two clash.
Mohammed Zulkifilu produced a standout display at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium. The forward scored three times as Ranchers Bees dominated the contest and secured a convincing home win.
Ranchers Bees broke the deadlock in the 41st minute. Zulkifilu found the net to give the hosts a deserved lead heading into the closing stages of the first half.
The striker then struck again on the stroke of halftime. His second goal gave Ranchers Bees a 2-0 advantage and put them in a strong position at the break.
Zulkifilu completed his hat trick two minutes after the hour mark. His third goal further strengthened the hosts’ control and left Abia Warriors facing a huge deficit.
Ranchers Bees continued to push for more goals after completing the scoring. Yusuf eventually added the fourth in the 90th minute to cap an impressive afternoon for the home side.

The victory marked Ranchers Bees first win of the new season. Meanwhile, Abia Warriors remain without a victory after their opening two matches.
Ranchers Bees secured promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League on April 22, 2026. The club won the Nigeria National League Conference D title with 20 points to earn its place back in the top flight.
The promotion also ended an 18 year absence from Nigeria’s top division. Ranchers Bees now have a chance to build momentum after making a powerful start at home.
The club also has notable ownership links. Super Eagles striker Sadiq Umar co owns Ranchers Bees alongside Bello El Rufai.
For Ranchers Bees, the 4-0 victory offers an early boost after their return to the NPFL. Abia Warriors, on the other hand, must respond quickly as they continue their search for a first win of the campaign.
