The Super Eagles held their official training session on Monday evening at Charlton Athletic Stadium, The Valley, ahead of Tuesday’s 2026 Unity Cup opener against the Warriors of Zimbabwe, Trybal News reports.

A total of 20 players took part in the session, with Head Coach Eric Chelle overseeing preparations as Nigeria fine-tuned plans for the highly anticipated clash.
The squad involved three goalkeepers: Francis Uzoho, Arthur Okonkwo and Michael Atata.
In defence, Igoh Ogbu, Chibueze Oputa, Chibuike Nwaiwu, Obinna Igboke, Tijani Al Ameen and Elias Ochobi were all involved, while the midfield group featured Alhassan Yusuf, Tochukwu Nnadi, Samson Tijani, Aderemi Adeoye, Junior Ayobami and Tosin Oyedokun.
The attacking options included Terem Moffi, Philip Otele, Rafiu Durosinmi, Owen Oseni and Femi Azeez.
Tuesday’s meeting comes with added intrigue, as Nigeria and Zimbabwe played out 1-1 draws in both legs of their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying group. Zimbabwe hosted the Super Eagles in Huye, Rwanda, before Nigeria welcomed the Warriors to Uyo in the reverse fixture.
With both sides already familiar with each other, the Unity Cup opener is expected to deliver intensity, physicality and attacking football.
The tournament will continue on Wednesday when Jamaica face India in the second fixture.
