Jamaica booked their place in the final of the 2026 Unity Cup after securing a comfortable 2-0 victory over India on Wednesday evening in London.

The Reggae Boyz delivered a composed performance from start to finish and proved too strong for the Indian side, who struggled to cope with Jamaica’s pace and attacking movement throughout the semifinal clash.

Jamaica started brightly and grabbed the lead in the eighth minute through Courtney Clarke. The forward reacted quickly inside the penalty area before placing a low effort into the right corner.

India goalkeeper Gurpreet Singh Sandhu guessed correctly and stretched fully toward the shot, but he could not keep it out as Jamaica’s early pressure finally paid off.

The Caribbean side continued to dominate possession and looked dangerous every time they moved forward, while India found it difficult to break through a disciplined Jamaican defence.

After the restart, India briefly showed signs of improvement and thought they had pulled level in the 52nd minute following a well-worked attacking move inside the box.

However, celebrations were quickly cut short after the assistant referee raised the offside flag. The decision denied India what would have been a crucial equaliser during their best spell of the match.

India continued to push forward and created another decent opportunity in the 64th minute after winning a corner kick.

The delivery caused problems inside Jamaica’s penalty area, but the defenders responded well and cleared the danger with a strong header. India attempted another effort from the rebound, although the shot drifted wide of the post.

Despite India’s attacking efforts, Jamaica remained dangerous on the counterattack and eventually sealed the victory late in the game.

In the 78th minute, Kahiem Dixon produced a brilliant individual moment to double Jamaica’s advantage. The attacker displayed excellent footwork and composure before finding the net with a clinical finish to make it 2-0.

The result means Jamaica will now face defending champions, Super Eagles of Nigeria in a repeat of the 2025 Unity Cup final.

Last year, the Super Eagles defeated the Reggae Boyz 5-4 on penalties after both sides played out an entertaining 2-2 draw in the final.

Both teams will now renew their rivalry once again as they battle for the 2026 Unity Cup title in what promises to be another exciting encounter.

Meanwhile, India will take on Zimbabwe in the third-place playoff after falling short in a match where Jamaica controlled most of the action.
