Victor Osimhen continued his explosive start to the 2026/27 campaign, scoring twice and providing an assist as Galatasaray swept aside Erzurumspor 4–0 on Friday night, Trybal News reports.

The Nigerian striker entered the game already in fine form after scoring twice in Galatasaray’s 2–2 draw against Çorum on the opening weekend. He wasted little time carrying that momentum into his second league appearance.

Roland Sallai opened the scoring for Galatasaray in the 12th minute before Osimhen turned provider eight minutes later. Showing composure and awareness inside the attacking third, the forward laid the ball into the path of Yunus Akgün, who finished confidently to double the champions’ advantage.

Osimhen then got on the scoresheet himself just before half-time. The striker capitalised on a costly mistake from Erzurumspor goalkeeper Matija Ornjak, winning possession before calmly finishing into an empty net to send Galatasaray into the interval 3–0 ahead.

The 27-year-old completed his brace in the 80th minute, finishing from close range after being set up by Gabriel Sara to put the finishing touch on another decisive performance.

Osimhen now has four goals and one assist from his opening two Super Lig appearances, continuing the remarkable goalscoring form that has made him such an important figure in Galatasaray’s title defence.

The victory takes Galatasaray to four points from their first two league matches, while Erzurumspor remain bottom after suffering two defeats and conceding seven goals without scoring.

With two braces already to his name, Osimhen has sent an early warning to the rest of the Super Lig: the Nigerian striker is once again firing on all cylinders.

Galatasaray will next face Göztepe on Saturday, August 29, with Osimhen looking to extend his scoring run.
