Nigeria’s Super Falcons have arrived in Rabat, Morocco, where they will play all their Group C matches at the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), Trybal News reports.

The nine-time African champions made a stylish entrance, with players stepping off the team bus dressed in elegant green-and-white flowing traditional outfits, complemented by matching headgears that proudly showcased Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage.

All 25 invited players completed the journey from Casablanca, where the Super Falcons wrapped up a 10-day training camp in preparation for the continental tournament.

The team heads into WAFCON full of confidence after defeating Tanzania 2-1 in a pre-tournament friendly, their final test before the competition kicks off in Morocco.

Nigeria will begin their quest for a record-extending 11th WAFCON title against tournament debutants Malawi on Tuesday, 28 July, in Rabat. They will then face Zambia on 1 August before rounding off the group stage against Egypt on 5 August.

Beyond continental glory, there is even more at stake, with all four WAFCON semifinalists securing automatic qualification for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil.

The Super Falcons will be aiming to reaffirm their status as Africa’s most successful women’s national team as they embark on another title challenge in Morocco.
