Shooting Stars Sports Club have unveiled Chowdeck and BOVAS as new sponsors ahead of the 2026/27 football season, as the Oluyole Warriors prepare for a demanding campaign at home and in continental competition, Trybal News reports.

Club chairman Taiwo Lekan Salami announced the partnerships during a press conference in Ibadan on Wednesday. Chowdeck will serve as the principal partner, while BOVAS will take the sleeve sponsorship position.

The new partnerships form part of the club’s plans to strengthen its operations and improve its performance. Shooting Stars want to build a stronger squad and compete more effectively on both domestic and continental fronts.

“We are determined to build a stronger and more competitive Shooting Stars team ahead of the new season. Our objective is to improve on last season’s performance and ensure that the club competes effectively on both the domestic and continental fronts,” Salami said.

The chairman also called on supporters to remain fully behind the team. He believes strong support from the stands will help the players as they begin a season filled with major challenges.

“We appeal to our supporters to remain behind the team. Their support has always been important to us, and we want them to fill the stadium and encourage the players as we begin this demanding campaign,” he added while asking for more support from the fans.

Chowdeck and BOVAS outline partnership plans

Chowdeck chief executive officer Femi Aluko welcomed the partnership and highlighted his personal connection with Shooting Stars. He explained that his father has long supported the historic Ibadan club.

”My father is a big fan of Shooting Stars, so I am part of the club now. This is a traditional club, and Chowdeck is the biggest online food delivery service in Nigeria. So, this is the intersection of Sports and technology,” Aluko said.

Aluko also expressed confidence that the partnership can deliver benefits for both Shooting Stars and the wider Ibadan community. He called for a collective approach as the club enters a crucial new season.

”I think it is going to be a great season for us. It is important that we all win together and share the losses. We will see a lot from Chowdeck in terms of action, in terms of what we are doing for the club and Ibadan at large.” Aluko added.

He further said Chowdeck shares a similar vision with Shooting Stars. As a result, he expects the partnership to produce greater impact throughout the campaign.

BOVAS Group also expressed its enthusiasm about joining forces with the Oluyole Warriors. Head of Engineering and Projects, Engineer Tolulope Ayediran, said the partnership reflects a strong connection between two prominent Ibadan institutions.

”We are very excited to be part of this particular club. We looked at the club’s trend and its intersection with BOVAS. 3SC is a pride of Ibadan and Nigeria; likewise, BOVAS has its HQ here. We are going to see a lot of our participation going forward.

Ayediran confirmed that BOVAS has agreed to a five year partnership with Shooting Stars. He also assured supporters that the relationship will bring greater collaboration, visibility and impact during the agreement.

Shooting Stars will begin their NPFL campaign on Friday, August 28. The Oluyole Warriors will host Inter Lagos at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan.

The club will also return to continental action in the CAF Confederation Cup. Shooting Stars will face CS Sfaxien in the first leg in Abeokuta on September 5, before travelling for the return fixture on September 13.

With domestic and continental football ahead, the new partnerships give Shooting Stars additional commercial support. The Oluyole Warriors will now hope to turn that backing into stronger performances and a successful 2026/27 season.
