Nigerian international Peter Olayinka has completed his move to Saudi Arabian club Al Wehda FC, bringing his European chapter to an end as he begins a new phase of his career in the Middle East, Trybal News reports.

The 30-year-old forward and winger joins the Mecca-based side following spells with several prominent European clubs, including Slavia Prague, Red Star Belgrade and APOEL Nicosia.
Olayinka is reportedly set to earn around €2.5 million annually with Al Wehda, who are competing in the Saudi First Division League after relegation from the Saudi Pro League.
The Nigerian’s arrival is expected to add experience, pace and attacking quality to Al Wehda as the Knights of Mecca target an immediate return to the top flight.
Olayinka, who was born in Ibadan, has earned four caps for the Super Eagles since making his international debut in 2019.
His move to Al Wehda also sees him follow in the footsteps of former Super Eagles striker Odion Ighalo, who represented the club between 2023 and 2025.
The transfer marks another chapter in Olayinka’s career and gives the Nigerian an opportunity to play a key role in Al Wehda’s promotion campaign.
