Nigeria will face Côte d’Ivoire and Niger in Group B, while hosts Burkina Faso headline Group A alongside Ghana, Benin Republic and Togo.

The tournament is scheduled to hold in Ouagadougou from October 10 to 23, 2026, and will serve as the qualifying competition for the 2027 Africa U-17 Cup of Nations.

The top two teams in Group B will advance to the semi-finals, with the two finalists securing qualification for the continental U-17 tournament.

The Golden Eaglets enter the competition with an impressive pedigree, having won the FIFA U-17 World Cup a record five times. They will now aim to translate that experience into a strong regional campaign and secure Nigeria’s place at the 2027 Africa U-17 Cup of Nations.

With Côte d’Ivoire and Niger standing in their way, the Eaglets now have a clear picture of the challenge ahead as they target progression from Group B and another successful campaign at regional level.
