The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has unveiled a major new title sponsorship agreement with EuroMatch, worth more than $7.5 million over three years.
The landmark deal was formally announced in Abuja on Wednesday, August 26, 2026. It brings an end to an almost 10 year wait for the NPFL to secure a conventional title sponsor.
The partnership marks a significant commercial step for Nigerian football. It also gives the league a fresh opportunity to strengthen its financial position, improve its profile, and build a more sustainable competition for clubs and supporters.
Under the agreement, EuroMatch becomes the official title sponsor of the Nigeria Premier Football League. The partnership is expected to place the EuroMatch name at the centre of the league’s commercial identity throughout the three year period.
The value of the agreement makes it one of the most notable commercial developments in recent NPFL history. More importantly, the deal arrives as the league continues efforts to improve its visibility, matchday experience, digital reach, and overall commercial appeal.
EuroMatch Group is a Warsaw based private investment company that focuses on building and scaling technology ventures within the global gaming industry. Its strategy centres on developing proprietary technology, intellectual property, and gaming brands across the B2C and B2B iGaming ecosystem.
The group’s portfolio includes Euromatch, its flagship B2C sportsbook brand, and GB2B, its B2B technology brand. GB2B provides gaming platform technology and managed software services to licensed gaming operators.
With multiple gaming licences and a growing international presence, Euromatch Group is building a connected iGaming ecosystem driven by innovation, operational excellence, and long term growth.
For the NPFL, the agreement represents more than a new name attached to the competition. It could also provide the league with greater commercial stability as stakeholders continue to seek ways to raise the standard and profile of domestic football.
The sponsorship announcement also comes during a period of renewed activity around the NPFL’s media and digital strategy. Earlier this month, the league entered into a partnership with Murphy Ben International, known as MBI, to provide free match streaming for fans.
Under that agreement, supporters “will have access to selected live match coverage and delayed broadcasts on the official NPFL YouTube channel, free and in HD”.
The move gives more fans an easier way to follow the competition, especially those who cannot attend matches in person. It also strengthens the league’s presence on digital platforms at a time when online viewing continues to shape the way sports audiences consume live content.
MBI operates as a multi channel network on YouTube and runs subsidiaries including Aforevo TV and Vybz 94.5 FM. Its partnership with the NPFL forms part of the league’s wider push to expand its digital audience and make domestic football more accessible.
The streaming agreement arrived only days after the NPFL’s previous broadcasting and streaming partnership with Propel Sports Africa came to an end. The latest developments suggest that the league is entering a new phase in its approach to media distribution and commercial partnerships.
For Nigerian football fans, the combination of a major title sponsor and expanded digital access could provide a strong foundation for the league’s next chapter. The NPFL now has an opportunity to convert the commercial momentum into better visibility, stronger club development, and a more engaging experience for supporters.
EuroMatch Deal Ends NPFL Long Sponsorship Drought
The EuroMatch agreement also comes at a crucial time for the league. With clubs competing for national honours and players seeking greater exposure, stronger investment can help create an environment where the NPFL attracts wider attention both within Nigeria and beyond.
As the new partnership takes effect, attention will now turn to how the NPFL and EuroMatch translate the agreement into tangible value for clubs, players, fans, and other stakeholders. Further details about the sponsorship arrangement and its implementation are expected to emerge soon.
