President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR has approved Nigeria’s bid to host the 48th Ordinary General Assembly of the Confederation of African Football alongside this year’s prestigious CAF Awards, Trybal News reports.

The announcement was made during the ongoing Africa Forward Summit in Nairobi after President Tinubu met with CAF President Patrice Motsepe.

Also present at the meeting were Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, President of the Nigeria Football Federation Ibrahim Musa Gusau, Special Adviser to the CAF President Amaju Melvin Pinnick, and CAF Acting General Secretary Samson Adamu.

Scheduled for October, the 48th CAF Ordinary General Assembly will bring together key stakeholders in African football, including presidents of CAF’s 54 Member Associations, representatives of the six zonal unions, and senior football administrators from across the continent.

The CAF Awards Ceremony remains one of African football’s flagship events, celebrating the continent’s top players, coaches, clubs, and football personalities in a night renowned for its prestige, glamour, and celebration of excellence.
