Super Eagles striker Akor Adams continued his remarkable run of form in Spain after firing Sevilla to a dramatic 3-2 comeback victory over Villarreal in a thrilling La Liga clash at the Estadio de la Cerámica.
The Nigerian forward scored the decisive goal in the 72nd minute as Sevilla recovered from two goals down to secure a third consecutive league win for the first time this season.

Villarreal, who had already secured UEFA Champions League qualification, looked firmly in control early on after Gerard Moreno opened the scoring in the 13th minute following a well-worked move involving Georges Mikautadze. The Georgian attacker then turned scorer seven minutes later, tapping home at the back post to put the hosts 2-0 ahead.
Sevilla responded with character before halftime. Oso reduced the deficit in the 36th minute before Kike Salas struck a superb half-volley just before the break to level the score at 2-2.
The visitors completed the turnaround in the second half through the red-hot Akor Adams. After a slick attacking move involving Alexis Sánchez, Juanlu Sánchez and Djibril Sow, the Nigerian striker received the ball inside the area and rifled a powerful left-footed finish past the goalkeeper at the near post.
It was Adams second straight match-winning goal after his late strike secured a 2-1 victory over Espanyol last weekend. The 26-year-old has now reached double figures in La Liga this season, registering 10 goals and three assists in 30 league appearances for Sevilla.
The victory significantly boosted Sevilla’s survival hopes, lifting them provisionally to 10th place on the table and four points clear of the relegation zone with two matches remaining. The Andalusian side are also now just two points behind the UEFA Conference League qualification places.
Sevilla’s resurgence comes after months of struggling near the bottom of the table, with Luis García Plaza’s side now showing renewed belief at a crucial stage of the campaign.
They will next face Real Madrid before concluding their season away to Celta Vigo.
