Speculation is growing over a possible Premier League return for Super Eagles skipper Wilfred Ndidi, after reports emerged that the midfielder has been put forward as an option for Manchester United this January.
Ndidi only arrived at Besiktas last summer after closing the chapter on his long stay at Leicester City, but sources close to the situation suggest the Nigerian international is already open to a move back to England if the right opportunity comes.
Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano revealed that Manchester United have been informed about Ndidi’s availability as they continue to assess ways to strengthen their midfield ahead of the second half of the season. While no formal talks have taken place, the player is said to be willing to consider a return to the Premier League immediately.
Wilfred Ndidi also comes into the transfer spotlight on the back of an impressive outing with the Super Eagles at the Africa Cup of Nations, where he played a key role in Nigeria’s strong run in the tournament.
At the moment, the Red Devils are yet to approach Besiktas with an official proposal, and the situation remains at the stage of internal discussions and player availability checks.
