Nigeria’s Super Eagles have arrived in Bissau ahead of Tuesday’s crucial 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Guinea-Bissau, Trybal News reports.

Eric Chelle’s side touched down in the Guinea-Bissau capital on Sunday, with the team now turning its full attention to a fixture that could have an early impact on the Group L standings.

The Super Eagles began their qualifying campaign with a 2-1 comeback victory over Madagascar in Uyo, while Guinea-Bissau made an equally strong start with a 2-0 away win over Tanzania.

The Djurtus currently lead Group L on goal difference, with Nigeria sitting second on three points. Tanzania and Madagascar are yet to open their accounts.

Tuesday’s encounter will therefore bring the group’s two early leaders together, with both sides looking to maintain their perfect starts and strengthen their position in the race for the sole qualifying spot available from the group.

Nigeria will hope to build on the momentum from their opening-day victory, while Guinea-Bissau will look to make home advantage count when the two sides meet at the Estádio Nacional 24 de Setembro.

With the qualification race already taking shape, the Super Eagles now have a major test on their hands in Bissau.
