Dominic Solanke scored a stoppage time equaliser to earn 10 man Tottenham Hotspur a dramatic draw against Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Manchester United looked set to deepen Tottenham’s struggles when Bryan Mbeumo broke the deadlock in the 73rd minute. However, Solanke struck late to deny the hosts all three points in a tense Premier League clash.

The match took another turn five minutes after Mbeumo’s goal. Tottenham midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur received a red card for headbutting Luke Shaw, who had shoved him following a reckless challenge by the Uruguay international.

Despite their numerical disadvantage, Tottenham refused to give up. Solanke, captaining the side for the first time, rose to meet Sandro Tonali’s cross and headed home in the second minute of added time.

The late goal lifted Tottenham off the bottom of the table. Nevertheless, Roberto de Zerbi’s side remain winless after their first six league matches, with just three points to show for their efforts.

Man United Drop Points against 10 Men Again

Tottenham remain in the relegation zone, sitting above Fulham and Coventry City. The result offers some relief, but De Zerbi still faces the challenge of securing his first league win with the club.

Manchester United, meanwhile, continue to struggle for consistency. They have managed just one victory this season, and their sluggish first half drew boos from home supporters at Old Trafford on Saturday.

United improved after the break and took the lead through Mbeumo. However, Solanke’s late intervention denied them a much needed win, prompting more jeers from the home crowd at full time.

The draw also extended United’s frustrating run against teams reduced to 10 men. It was the second consecutive league match in which they dropped points against an opponent who had a player sent off, following their 1 0 derby defeat by Manchester City last month.
