The draw ceremony for the national competition of the 2026 President Federation Cup will be conducted on Friday at the Nigeria Football Federation Secretariat in Abuja.
The ceremony comes after the completion of the national playoff matches, where four teams were eliminated from the women’s competition and six teams exited the men’s category.
A total of 32 teams will participate in the women’s national competition, while 64 teams have qualified for the men’s tournament as clubs from across the country prepare for the next stage of Nigeria’s oldest domestic football competition.
Reigning champions Kwara United are among the leading contenders in the men’s category alongside Shooting Stars, Rangers International, Bendel Insurance, Nasarawa United, Ikorodu City, Rivers United and Barau FC.
In the women’s competition, defending champions Rivers Angels will headline the field of contenders. Other notable teams expected in the draw include Nasarawa Amazons, FC Robo Queens, Ibom Angels, Bayelsa Queens and Naija Ratels.
Teams from different states across the country successfully secured qualification for the national stage after emerging from their state and playoff rounds.
