Nigeria’s Flamingos continued their impressive start to the 2026 WAFU-B U17 Girls Cup with a 2-0 victory over Burkina Faso at the Lycée Scientifique in Yamoussoukro, Trybal News reports.
The Nigerian side dominated proceedings but were made to wait until the closing stages before breaking the deadlock.
Mary Dunstan finally put the Flamingos ahead in the 82nd minute, giving Nigeria a deserved lead after a tightly contested encounter.
Burkina Faso pushed forward in search of an equaliser, but Nigeria remained composed and took advantage of the spaces left behind.
Oluwakemi Adegbuyi then sealed the victory in the fourth minute of stoppage time, beating the goalkeeper after a fine individual effort to make it 2-0.
The result means Nigeria maintain their 100 percent record in the competition, with three wins from three matches and nine points at the top of the table.

The Flamingos began their campaign with a 5-0 victory over Niger before recording a 4-2 win over Ghana in the Jollof Derby.
With another clean sheet secured against Burkina Faso, Nigeria continue their pursuit of regional honours with momentum firmly on their side.
