Chelsea FC have confirmed plans to visit Lagos for the first time in the club’s history as part of their global fan engagement initiative, The Famous CFC, with former star Victor Moses set to headline the event later in May, Trybal News reports.

The Premier League side announced that Lagos will host the penultimate stop of their 2025 and 2026 fan programme, organized in partnership with MSport, their official betting partner in Africa.

In a statement, the club expressed excitement about the landmark visit, which is aimed at strengthening ties with their large Nigerian fan base.

“Chelsea Football Club will be visiting Lagos, Nigeria, for the first time in the club’s history this May when our fan engagement programme The Famous CFC hosts its penultimate event of the 2025/26 season,” the club said.

The Lagos event will feature a weekend of activities designed to bring supporters closer to the club. Fans can expect a watch party hosted by MSport, interactive sessions, and a special question and answer segment with Moses, alongside opportunities to win signed merchandise.

“The Famous CFC in Lagos will bring a packed weekend of action to the city, where MSport will host an ever-popular watch party along with exclusive activities including a Q&A with Moses and the chance for fans to win signed merchandise,” the statement added.

Chelsea noted that the Lagos stop is the fifth destination on their expanded global tour this season, part of ongoing efforts to deepen engagement with supporters around the world.

“The visit to Nigeria is the fifth stop this season for the international fan programme, which looks to deepen connections with Blues supporters around the world,” the club stated.

Moses, who remains a fan favourite, played a crucial role in Chelsea’s 2016 and 2017 Premier League title triumph and also represented Nigeria at the Africa Cup of Nations and two FIFA World Cups before retiring from international football in 2018.

The visit is expected to draw large crowds and create a unique opportunity for Nigerian fans to connect directly with the club as the season nears its conclusion.
