Nigeria international Calvin Bassey played a key role in the launch of Fulham’s new away kit for the 2026 2027 season after featuring in the club’s official unveiling on Monday.
The Super Eagles defender appeared alongside teammates Ryan Sessegnon, Rodrigo Muniz and Tom Cairney as Fulham revealed the new adidas away strip, which pays tribute to one of the club’s most iconic shirts.
Announcing the launch, Fulham said: “The Club is delighted to unveil its new adidas Away Kit for the 2026/27 season, reimagining one of Fulham’s most memorable jerseys.”
The club explained that the new design features the famous adidas Originals Trefoil logo and offers a modern take on the popular black and red chequerboard shirt worn during the mid 1990s.
Fulham also confirmed the return of the historic ‘FFC’ crest, which appeared on four of the club’s kits in the 1970s and became closely associated with the team’s memorable run to the 1975 FA Cup final.
As part of the launch, Fulham produced a campaign film featuring actor and lifelong Fulham supporter Keith Allen, who both stars in and narrates the production.
According to the club: “Set in a charged world of red and black, inspired by the shirt’s chequerboard heritage and the attitude of adidas Originals, the film is a celebration of the faithful who still make the journey. The early starts. The long miles. The commitment to follow Fulham.”
The campaign also highlights the connection between football and supporter culture while showcasing several members of Fulham’s men’s and women’s teams. Alongside Bassey, the film features Tom Cairney, Stella Gandee Morgan, Olivia Dale, Ryan Sessegnon, Anna Grey and Rodrigo Muniz.
Fulham added that: “The 2026/27 Away Kit is completed with red pleated shorts and red socks, all featuring the heritage ‘FFC’ crest and Trefoil.”
Bassey remains one of Fulham’s key players and his inclusion in the campaign underlines his growing influence at the Premier League club ahead of the new season.
