FC Barcelona officially unveiled Ghanaian descent winger Jesse Bisiwu on Tuesday in a memorable presentation at the Spotify Camp Nou offices, with the highly rated Belgian youngster signing a long term contract until June 30, 2031, Trybal News.

The 18 year old was confirmed as a Barcelona player last week before travelling straight to England to join Hansi Flick’s first team squad at St. George’s Park. His official presentation in Barcelona marked another major milestone in what has already been a whirlwind start to his career with the Spanish champions.

Jesse Bisiwu signed his six year contract in the presence of Barcelona president Joan Laporta, Sporting Area vice president Rafa Yuste, Director of Football Anderson Luis de Souza “Deco”, and members of the club’s Sporting Commission.

The teenage winger attended the ceremony alongside his family and representative as he completed the formalities at the club’s main offices. He posed for photographs after signing the deal and proudly displayed his Barcelona membership card while holding up the club’s new 2026/27 home shirt.

The presentation capped a memorable few days for one of Belgium’s brightest young talents, who is widely regarded as a player with enormous potential.

Jesse Bisiwu arrives at Barcelona with an exciting reputation built on his pace, flair and ability to take on defenders. According to talent scout Tamsyn, the winger possesses the qualities expected from a modern wide attacker.

“He is a typical winger who relies on his technique and pace, particularly over the first few metres,” Tamsyn explained. “He is comfortable dribbling out wide as well as cutting inside. However, he still needs to learn to prioritise the overview of the team and sometimes tends to go for individual success a bit too much. Defending isn’t his favourite part of the game, so he does occasionally neglect his defensive duties too.”

Tamsyn also compared Bisiwu’s playing style to another explosive Belgian winger, Jeremy Doku, while highlighting the youngster’s technical ability.

“I think you could compare him to Doku as a type of player,” Tamsyn revealed. “Doku’s explosiveness over the first few metres is better, but technically speaking, Bisiwu could well end up being better than Doku.”

Bisiwu has also enjoyed steady progress through Belgium’s youth national teams. He has represented the country at Under 15, Under 16, Under 17 and Under 18 levels before making his Belgium Under 19 debut in March.

Although eligible through his Ghanaian heritage, the skilful winger has so far featured for Belgium’s youth sides, where he has impressed with his direct running, close control and willingness to attack defenders.

Barcelona will now hope the talented teenager continues his rapid development as he begins the next chapter of his career under Hansi Flick. With a contract running until 2031, the Catalan giants have made it clear they see Bisiwu as one of the club’s brightest prospects for the future.
