Nigeria’s Super Falcons have received another major morale boost ahead of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), with the Federal Government beginning the formal presentation of the houses promised to the players following their triumph at the 2025 tournament, Trybal News reports.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) shared a post on its social media platforms showing NFF President Ibrahim Musa Gusau presenting the certificate for the promised house to Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie. Also present at the presentation was the NFF’s Director of Competitions, Ruth David.
The housing reward forms part of the incentive package announced by President Bola Tinubu after Nigeria defeated hosts Morocco to win a record-extending 10th WAFCON title last year.
The presentation comes just days before the Super Falcons begin the defence of their continental crown in Morocco, where they will be aiming to secure a record-extending 11th WAFCON title.
The fulfilment of the government’s housing pledge is expected to further boost the team’s confidence as they head into another demanding campaign. The Super Falcons remain Africa’s highest-ranked women’s national team and enter the tournament among the favourites to retain their continental crown.
Nigeria will open its Group C campaign against Malawi before taking on Zambia and Egypt as Justin Madugu’s side continues its quest for another African title.
