The Nigeria U18 D’Tigers delivered an outstanding performance to secure a convincing 98-54 victory over host nation Burkina Faso in the FIBA U18 AfroBasket Zone 3 qualifiers, Trybal News reports.

Nigeria imposed themselves on the contest from the outset, combining defensive intensity with efficient offensive execution to gradually pull away from the hosts and ultimately record an emphatic 44-point win.

Leading the charge were Victor Nwafor and Joshua Ogbonna, who each finished with 18 points, while Thomas Agbo Okoh added 16 points in another strong display for the young Nigerians. Victor Endurance Sunday came within touching distance of a double-double, contributing 17 points and nine rebounds in a commanding all-round performance.

The victory was built on a complete team effort, with contributions coming across the roster as Nigeria controlled the pace of the game and showcased the depth and quality within the squad.

Attention now turns to the D’Tigers’ next fixture against Benin. Nigeria will enter the matchup with confidence, having already defeated their neighbours in the opening game of the tournament, and will be aiming to maintain their unbeaten start as they continue their push for qualification to the FIBA U18 AfroBasket Championship.
