Fulham were held to a goalless draw by Brentford, but the bigger concern on the day was the injury to Alex Iwobi, who was forced off before half-time.

Iwobi picked up a hamstring issue in the 43rd minute and had to be substituted, with Samuel Chukwueze coming on in his place. The early exit raised fears that the midfielder could be facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines at a crucial stage of the season.

After the match, Fulham manager Marco Silva moved to calm those concerns, suggesting the injury may not be as serious as initially feared.

“From Alex’s initial reaction, it doesn’t seem too serious. We’ll have a clearer picture in the next 24 to 48 hours. It was a big blow losing him,” Silva said.

Iwobi has been a key figure for Fulham this season, contributing four goals and three assists in 27 league appearances, and his potential absence would be a setback for the team.

The result leaves Fulham in 12th place on 45 points, as they continue their push to finish the campaign strongly.
