Nigerian midfielder Ebenezer Akinsanmiro put in a composed and effective performance as AC Milan claimed a hard-fought 2-1 victory over SC Pisa at the Arena Garibaldi, a result that worsens the hosts relegation problems.

Introduced in the second half, Akinsanmiro was instrumental in keeping Milan’s midfield stable during a nervy period. The Super Eagles Midfielder completed all eight of his attempted passes, contributed one shot, made three interceptions, and cleared a dangerous ball, showing both attacking intent and defensive responsibility.

Fellow Nigerian striker Rafiu Durosinmi came on late in the match to help preserve Milan’s slender lead, adding fresh legs and composure in the closing stages.

The match saw AC Milan take an early lead through Ruben Loftus-Cheek, with Pisa equalising late in the 71st minute via Felipe Loyola’s curling effort. However, veteran Luka Modrić rescued the visitors with a clever finish in the 85th minute to secure all three points.

For Pisa, the defeat is a continuation of their difficult campaign. Already struggling for wins, the loss further deepens their relegation worries, leaving them six points adrift of safety with just a handful of matches remaining.
