Nigeria U-17 women’s national team head coach, Akeem Busari, has named his final 21-player squad for the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco, Trybal News reports.
Captain Harmony Chidi headlines the squad, with defenders Elizabeth Adesuyi and Esther Stephen also included among the players selected to represent Nigeria at the global tournament.
The squad also features midfielders Mary Dustan and Favour Nkwocha, while the attacking options include Tosin Rafiu, Queen Joseph, Precious Oscar and Oluwakemi Adegbuyi.
The Flamingos and their officials are scheduled to depart Nigeria for Morocco on Wednesday, October 7, ahead of the tournament.
Nigeria have been drawn in Group B and will begin their campaign against Poland on October 17. They will face Puerto Rico in their second group-stage fixture on October 20 before rounding off the group phase against North Korea on October 23.
The Flamingos will be looking to build on Nigeria’s bronze-medal finish at the 2022 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup as they prepare for another challenge on the international stage.
