Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen has opened up about potential squad reinforcements following his side’s 1–1 UEFA Champions League draw against Atletico Madrid.
Speaking after the match, Osimhen emphasized the importance of teamwork and collective effort:
I can’t achieve anything without my teammates. It’s not accurate to say we lost when I wasn’t there. We’ve lost matches even when I was here. We will continue our fight in the Champions League and the Süper Lig. Together with my teammates, we will strive to make Galatasaray even greater.”
The Super Eagles forward also revealed that he has been encouraging his compatriots, Ademola Lookman and Raphael Onyedika, to consider joining the club, highlighting the club’s stature and passionate fanbase:
I spoke with Onyedika during the Africa Cup of Nations and with Lookman during the World Cup matches. I told them about the Galatasaray fans, how big a club we are, and the beauty of the country. Their arrival would be good for our club, our players, and our fans. I am trying to convince both of them. I would like them to come to one of the biggest clubs in the world and play with us.
Osimhen’s comments come after a tough night in Istanbul, where Galatasaray fought back from behind to claim a point against the Spanish side. Galatasaray will now turn their attention to a high‑profile clash against Manchester City in their next Champions League fixture.
