Nigeria’s Super Eagles camp ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco is now complete following the arrival of star forward Victor Osimhen on Wednesday evening. Osimhen’s arrival took the number of players in camp to 28, confirming that head coach and his technical crew now have their full squad available for final preparations.
According to Super Eagles media officer Promise Efoghe, the team is fully assembled and has stepped up its build up to the continental showpiece. Wednesday’s activities included a gym session in the morning and an intensive evening training session as the players continued to work on fitness, tactics and team cohesion.
The camp atmosphere remains focused despite Nigeria’s narrow 2 1 defeat to Egypt in an international friendly on Tuesday. The encounter provided the technical crew with a valuable opportunity to assess player combinations, individual performances and tactical options ahead of the tournament in Morocco.
Although the result did not go Nigeria’s way, the coaching staff viewed the friendly as an important step in the team’s preparation, with several players gaining useful minutes and the squad continuing to bond.
The full list of players currently in camp includes goalkeepers Francis Uzoho Stanley Nwabali and Amas Obasogie. Defenders and midfielders in camp are Fisayo Dele Bashiru Akinsanmiro Ebenezer Semi Ajayi Bright Osayi Samuel Igho Ogbu Tochukwu Nnadi Zaidu Sanusi Calvin Bassey Alex Iwobi Wilfred Ndidi Bruno Onyemaechi Raphael Onyedika Ryan Alebiosu Salim Fago and Chidozie Awaziem. The attacking options available include Ademola Lookman Paul Onuachu Frank Onyeka Cyril Dessers Akor Adams Chidera Ejuke Usman Mohammed Samuel Chukwueze Moses Simon and Victor Osimhen.
With all players now present, the Super Eagles will intensify preparations as they look to challenge strongly at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations and push for a fourth continental title.
