Super Eagles midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru has been linked with a possible return to the Turkish Süper Lig, with reports suggesting that Trabzonspor have opened negotiations with Italian Serie A side Lazio over a potential transfer.
Dele-Bashiru only recently returned to club duty after helping Nigeria secure a bronze medal at the 2025 AFCON in Morocco, where he featured as part of the Super Eagles squad in a strong tournament outing.
The midfielder joined Lazio last summer after an impressive spell in Turkey, but has found regular playing time hard to come by in Serie A, featuring mostly in rotation roles this season.
According to reports from Turkey and Italy, Trabzonspor have submitted an offer to Lazio as they look to strengthen their midfield ahead of the second half of the campaign. Talks are believed to be at an early stage, with no final agreement yet between the clubs.
Despite the interest, the move is not yet certain, as sources suggest Dele-Bashiru is weighing his options, with interest also coming from clubs outside Turkey.
For the Nigerian international, a return to the Süper Lig could offer the chance to rediscover consistent minutes, having previously impressed in the Turkish top flight before his move to Italy.
At the moment, it remains unclear whether the proposed deal would be a loan move or a permanent transfer, with further details expected as discussions continue between the clubs involved.
