Tolu Arokodare came off the bench to score a crucial late goal as Wolverhampton Wanderers battled from two goals down to draw 2–2 with Brentford in Monday’s Premier League encounter.

The home side started strongly and opened the scoring in the 22nd minute when Michael Kayode headed in from close range after a well-delivered cross by Keane Lewis-Potter. Brentford doubled their lead in the 37th minute through Igor Thiago, who finished from close range to give the hosts a comfortable advantage.

Wolves responded just before halftime when Jean-Ricner Bellegarde drove forward before finding Adam Armstrong, who produced a fine finish to beat Caoimhín Kelleher and reduce the deficit.

Arokodare was introduced in the 74th minute and made an instant impact. The Super Eagles striker finished the match with two shots, one goal, nine touches and four passes, completing three of them.

His moment arrived in the 77th minute when he met a cross from João Gomes with a close-range header to level the score for Wolves.

The striker almost completed the comeback moments later but saw another header strike the crossbar, as both sides eventually settled for a point. Wolves’ late fightback ensured they extended their unbeaten run to three league matches.
