The Super Eagles of Nigeria will compete in a Four Nation Invitational Tournament in Amman during next month’s FIFA Men’s International Window, where they are scheduled to face Iran national football team and Jordan national football team.

The Nigeria Football Federation confirmed that the three time African champions will participate in the mini tournament hosted in the Jordanian capital. The competition will open on Friday, 27 March 2026, with Nigeria taking on Iran at the 17,000 capacity Amman International Stadium. On the same day, Jordan will face Costa Rica national football team at the 62,000 capacity King Abdullah Sports City Stadium.

The tournament will conclude on Tuesday, 31 March, when Nigeria play hosts Jordan at the Amman International Stadium, while Costa Rica meet Iran at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium. Organisers are expected to announce the kick off times for all four fixtures in the coming days.

Meanwhile, the Nigeria Football Federation is still awaiting a decision from FIFA regarding a petition filed over the eligibility of players used by DR Congo national football team during last November’s 2026 World Cup African play offs. The case has drawn significant attention, with the intercontinental play offs scheduled to take place from 26 to 31 March in Mexico.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria failed to secure automatic qualification during the initial qualifying campaign but progressed to the African play offs, where they were eliminated on penalties by DR Congo. Despite widespread speculation earlier in the week, NFF President Ibrahim Gusau confirmed that the federation has not yet received official communication from FIFA concerning the outcome of the petition.
