Twenty-five Super Eagles players took part in Friday evening’s training session as Nigeria stepped up preparations for the knockout phase of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
According to the team’s Media Officer, Ryan Alebiosu was present at the training ground but did not participate in the session as he continues his recovery from a leg injury. Striker Cyriel Dessers has been ruled out of the squad with a thigh injury and has since returned to his club, while Tochukwu Nnadi sat out the session after coming down with a cold.
Nigeria have now shifted focus to the Round of 16, where they will face Mozambique on Monday in Fez. The Super Eagles progressed into the knockout stage after an impressive group-stage campaign.
The Media Officer also revealed that head coach Eric Chelle addressed the players during the session, urging them to put their group-stage success behind them and fully refocus on the demands of knockout football.
The Super Eagles are expected to continue preparations in the coming days as they aim to advance further in the tournament.
