Nigeria’s Super Eagles have arrived in Fès, Morocco, ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, with the development confirmed on Thursday evening by team media officer Promise Efoghe.

The squad departed Cairo earlier in the day after wrapping up a short training camp in Egypt, which included an international friendly against the Pharaohs. The camp served as the final phase of preparations before the team moved to their official AFCON base.

Following their arrival in Morocco, the Super Eagles are scheduled to hold their first training session in Fès on Friday morning at 9:30 a.m., as attention fully shifts to competitive action.

With Victor Osimhen joining the squad late on Wednesday night, Nigeria now has a full contingent of players on ground. The goalkeeping department includes Francis Uzoho, Stanley Nwabali and Amas Obasogie. Defensive and midfield options in camp are Fisayo Dele Bashiru, Akinsanmiro Ebenezer, Semi Ajayi, Bright Osayi Samuel, Igho Ogbu, Tochukwu Nnadi, Zaidu Sanusi, Calvin Bassey, Alex Iwobi, Wilfred Ndidi, Bruno Onyemaechi, Raphael Onyedika, Ryan Alebiosu, Salim Fago and Chidozie Awaziem. The attacking unit is made up of Ademola Lookman, Paul Onuachu, Frank Onyeka, Cyril Dessers, Akor Adams, Chidera Ejuke, Usman Mohammed, Samuel Chukwueze, Moses Simon and Victor Osimhen.

Fès will serve as Nigeria’s base throughout the group stage of the tournament. The Super Eagles have been drawn into Group C alongside Tanzania, Tunisia and Uganda, with all their matches scheduled to take place at the Complexe Sportif de Fès.

Nigeria head into the competition targeting a fourth Africa Cup of Nations title, having previously lifted the trophy in 1980, 1994 and 2013.
