Paul Onuachu continued his fine goalscoring run as Trabzonspor claimed a 4-2 victory over İstanbul Başakşehir in the Ziraat Türkiye Kupası, sealing qualification for the quarter-finals. The Super Eagles striker has now found the net in eight consecutive matches across all competitions.

Trabzonspor showed early attacking intent and were rewarded when Felipe Augusto opened the scoring, giving the visitors a confident start in a demanding away atmosphere. They controlled large spells of the first half but were made to work after the break.
Başakşehir responded through Nuno da Costa, who drew the hosts level and helped shift momentum in their favour during a lively second half. The game opened up as both sides pushed forward in search of a decisive edge.
Introduced in the 65th minute, Onuachu quickly made his presence felt. His strength and positioning troubled the defence, and in the 84th minute he calmly finished off a well-worked move to restore Trabzonspor’s lead and extend his impressive scoring streak.
Trabzonspor added a late goal to secure the win, confirming their progression from the group stage, while Başakşehir exited the competition.
