The 23-year-old striker struck in the 45th minute to bring Forest level before halftime, delivering a perfect personal start in her first appearance for the club. However, Birmingham dominated proceedings after the break, scoring four additional goals to seal a convincing victory.

Omewa recently completed a permanent move from Danish side Fortuna Hjørring, signing a contract that will keep her at Nottingham Forest until the end of the 2025/26 season.

She arrived in England with a strong scoring reputation following a prolific spell in Denmark, where she netted 52 goals in 85 league appearances, won the Danish Women’s Cup twice, and helped Fortuna secure the league title in the 2024/25 campaign, and she continued her scoring form immediately by netting on her Nottingham Forest debut.

Despite the disappointing result for Forest, Omewa’s instant impact offers a bright takeaway for the club, with the Super Falcons forward expected to strengthen their attacking options as the season progresses.
