FIFA has officially revealed three new mascots for the FIFA World Cup 26, each representing one of the host nations. Canada introduces Maple the Moose, Mexico celebrates Zayu the Jaguar, and the United States presents Clutch the Bald Eagle. Together, these mascots symbolize unity, diversity, and the shared global passion for football, while also reflecting the unique spirit and culture of their countries.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino described the mascots as joyful, energetic, and central to the festive spirit of the upcoming tournament. He noted that Maple, Zayu, and Clutch will not only delight fans but also take on new roles in children’s merchandise, live events, and for the first time, video games. Their presence is expected to create unforgettable moments on and off the pitch, connecting millions of fans worldwide.

In a major first, the mascots will be available as playable characters in FIFA Heroes, an arcade-style football game launching in 2026. Developed by ENVER with Solace, the game allows players to build squads featuring mascots, football icons, and even fictional characters from popular shows. Alongside this, the Roblox-based FIFA Super League Soccer will feature quests and themed rewards tied to the mascots, giving young fans more interactive ways to engage with the tournament.

Beyond gaming, Maple, Zayu, and Clutch will play a central role in building excitement as the World Cup runs from June 11 to July 19, 2026. With 48 teams competing for the first time, the mascots will greet fans, inspire children, and embody the energy of the world’s largest football stage. Merchandise, including mascot shirts, will be available worldwide through FIFA’s official store, ensuring these characters become lasting symbols of a historic tournament.
