Ghana women’s national football team (Black Queens) have arrived in the United Arab Emirates ahead of the upcoming Pink Ladies Cup in Dubai.
The team landed at Dubai International Airport on Wednesday morning aboard Emirates Air and were welcomed by officials of the competition. The squad will stay at the Four Points by Sheraton hotel as they begin final preparations for the invitational tournament.
The Pink Ladies Cup is part of the international women’s football calendar and will run from February 28 to March 6, 2026, in Dubai. The competition will feature four national teams and serves as a preparatory platform for sides looking to assess their squads and sharpen tactics ahead of major tournaments.
For Ghana, the tournament forms part of their build up to the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations. The technical team will use the matches to evaluate players, test tactical plans and improve match fitness before the continental championship.
Ghana will compete against Russia, Hong Kong and Tanzania in a competition regarded as a strong test for participating teams. The variety of opponents is expected to expose the Black Queens to different styles of play and competitive challenges, providing a clear measure of their readiness for WAFCON 2026.
