With 12 days remaining until the start of the 3rd National Para Games Abuja 2026, the Local Organising Committee has confirmed that all designated competition venues across Abuja are ready to host athletes from across Nigeria for the country’s premier multi-sport event for athletes with disabilities.
According to the official venue plan released by the organisers, most of the competitions will take place at the iconic Moshood Abiola National Stadium, which will serve as the central hub of the Games.
Events scheduled at the stadium complex include Para Athletics at the Main Bowl, while Para Powerlifting, Sitting Volleyball, Wheelchair Basketball, Para Taekwondo, Para Table Tennis, Para Badminton, and Wheelchair Tennis will be staged across various indoor facilities within Packages A and B.
Other competitions will also be held within the stadium complex. Para Swimming will take place at the Swimming Pool Complex, while Para Cycling and Para Karate will be hosted at the Velodrome. Para Shooting is scheduled for the stadium’s shooting range.
Outside the main complex, additional venues have been designated to accommodate specific events. Para Canoeing will be held at Jabi Lake, while Amputee Football will take place at the FIFA Goal Project Pitch.

The 3rd National Para Games Abuja 2026 is expected to bring together thousands of athletes representing the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, celebrating resilience, excellence, and inclusivity through sports.
Beyond competition, the Games also serve as an important platform for discovering new talents and strengthening Nigeria’s presence in global para-sports.
