Kwara United and Enugu Rangers played out a goalless draw in their Nigeria Premier Football League clash, with both sides cancelling each other out over 90 minutes.
Kwara United came into the game looking to seal three points needed to commence their push to avoid relegation, but found chances few and far between, with the visitors, Rangers, having the better chances in the first 45 mins.
The tide changed in the early stages of the second half, with the hosts stretching the field and making inroads from the flanks, but the defense of Enugu Rangers stood firm to earn a point from the encounter.
The result means Rangers maintain their hold on second place in the league standings, moving up to 51 points from 30 games.
For Kwara United, the draw offers no succor, as other relegation contenders earned better results in their games. The Ilorin-based side started the day in 18th position with 32 points and will need to find a rich vein of form fast if they are to avoid the drop.
