Samuel Chukwueze is in contention to feature for Fulham FC in their London derby against Tottenham Hotspur at Craven Cottage on Sunday.
The Nigerian winger missed Fulham’s 3 to 1 Premier League win over Sunderland AFC at the Stadium of Light last weekend and also sat out the FA Cup victory against Stoke City FC two weeks ago due to a minor calf injury.
Head coach Marco Silva confirmed that Chukwueze returned to training this week and is being assessed ahead of the match.
Speaking to the club’s media via their official website, Silva said Chukwueze and Saša Lukić have been in and out of contention but enjoyed a good week in training. He also revealed that Antonee Robinson has resumed full sessions with the squad. The manager added that a final decision on selection will be made after the team’s last training session.
Chukwueze joined Fulham on a season long loan from AC Milan last summer and has made a strong impact. In 13 Premier League appearances for the Whites, he has scored three goals and provided four assists.
