Nigerian midfielder Ebenezer Akinsanmiro came on at halftime for Marius Marin in Pisa’s 6–2 defeat to Inter at the San Siro on Friday.

Pisa started strongly, taking a two-goal lead inside 23 minutes through Stefano Moreo, who scored a 30-yard lob over Inter goalkeeper Yann Sommer before doubling the lead with a near-post header from a corner.

Akinsanmiro played the entire second half, completing 20 of 27 passes, making two tackles, one interception, one clearance, one blocked shot, and recording six recoveries as he helped Pisa try to manage Inter’s attacks.

Inter responded quickly before halftime, with Piotr Zielinski converting a penalty in the 39th minute and Lautaro Martínez scoring from a Federico Dimarco cross two minutes later. In stoppage time, Pio Esposito added a third goal for Inter, completing a comeback.

The second half saw Inter dominate further, scoring four more goals through contributions from Dimarco and Bonny, while Pisa had limited chances, including a header from Canestrelli that was easily saved.

Despite the heavy defeat, Akinsanmiro played a full 45 minutes in midfield as Pisa tried to contain Inter, gaining experience against one of Serie A’s top sides.
